Fifth Third Ballpark is a $10 million state-of-the-art facility built in 1994 and expanded in 1995, 1996 and 1998. The stadium currently has a capacity of 10,071. One hundred reserved seats are in an alcohol-free section; all seating areas of the park are smoke-free. In early 1996 the Whitecaps completed construction to add approximately 1,400 outfield reserved seats and bring the total capacity to 11,000. The outfield area again under went construction in 2006.  This time the bleachers were replaced with two large group areas, the Pepsi Stadium Club and the Miller Lite House Deck.  This along with the addition of outdoor seating to our DTE Energy Suite Level brought the total capacity to the current 10,071.  The park was built on 47 acres next to the Grand River and includes ample paved parking.

Fifth Third Ballpark features 24 luxury suites on the DTE Energy Suite Level, complete with climate control, outdoor seating, glass windows, a wet bar, full wait staff service, and optional catering. Twenty-two suites measure 14' deep by 20' wide; two suites measure 20' by 20'.

The Pioneer State Mutual Insurance Deck, located just beyond the right field wall, is a partially covered wooden structure for private parties of up to 200. A full-service concession island, grill area, and picnic tables add to your enjoyment of Whitecaps games from what many fans call the best seat in the house. Restrooms are located just behind the Pioneer State Mutual Insurance Deck.

Sharkwater Cove was built before the 1998 season. Located down the right field line adjacent to the Pioneer State Mutual Insurance Deck, Sharkwater Cove can accommodate up to 120 guests on three levels of terraced seating. Fancy wrought-iron tables and cushioned chairs make Sharkwater Cove a unique seating area.

The Centennial Securities Dream Deck is located just beyond the left field wall. This open, two-tiered wooden structure is exclusively for private parties. Full-service concessions are available.

Fifth Third Ballpark's newest gems are the Pepsi Stadium Club and Miller Lite House Deck. Overlooking right-center field, the Pepsi Stadium Club is an indoor party area offers fans banquet-style seating with climate-controlled comfort, private restrooms, exclusive bar area and a great view of the field. This area is available for a variety of functions, including family reunions, anniversary parties, entertaining clients, employee outings or business meetings. The stadium club accommodates up to 250 guests. Above the Pepsi Stadium Club is the Miller Lite House Deck, our new rooftop atmosphere overlooking Fifth Third Ballpark. This spacious, covered area accommodates seating for up to 350 people, providing a spectacular social setting.

Playland is a kid-friendly playground located just past the first base lawn area. The ADA-approved modular structure features four slides and a crawl tube as well as several ladders, climbers and perches. It is also home to an inflatable bounce house. It is designed for children aged 5-12 (children under 5 years of age must be accompanied by an adult). Playland can accommodate approximately 50 children at a time and will be monitored at all times by Fifth Third Ballpark ushers.

Altogas Grill Areas are located at each end of the concourse. The wooden raised platforms seat 50 to 200 fans and offer an excellent view of the playing field. Full grill service and catering are available.

The concourse is a bustle of activity during Fifth Third Ballpark events. Two main concession stands, two smaller "secondary" concession stands, and two specialty stands are permanent built-in areas which offer the majority of Fifth Third Ballpark's delectable food.
